Project summary
Media, Information, and Research Hub (MIRH) is a one-stop digital resource project (ongoing) implemented by Ethiopian National Media support, ENMS in close collaboration with five advisory board members, (Editors Guild, CRBA, AEB, EMC, and EMWA).
The general objective of the MIRH is to provide information on various issues of relevance to Ethiopian media.
MIRH is a national initiative that began on August 1, 2021. Among the resources available in the database are legal documents, media educational tools, media profiles, research outputs, media expert profiles, and training opportunities. MIRH will be officially launched on May 12, 2022, at the Best Western Plus Pearl Hotel in Bole, Addis Ababa. The launching event was attended by 50 people from various backgrounds, including journalists’ associations, networks, universities, media development organizations, representatives of the Ethiopian Media Authority (EMA), and national think tanks.
Currently, the database contents are available in English and Amharic.
