ENMS has co-organized the celebration of The International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) in Ethiopia with the theme “The Right to Know – Building Back Better with Access to Information ፤ መረጃ የማግኘት መብት- በተደራጀ የመረጃ ፍሰት የተሻለች ኢትዮጵያን እንገባ ”
In recognizing the significance of access to information, the 74th UN General Assembly proclaimed 28 September as the International Day for Universal Access to Information at the UN level in October 2019. Based on that, the 2021 International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) was celebrated on the 27th of November 2021 at Adama, Ethiopia, under the theme “The Right to Know – Building Back Better with Access to Information.” It was organized by Ethiopian National Media Support (ENMS) and the Ethiopian Institution of Ombudsman (EIO) in collaboration with UNESCO.
