Samuel Assefa is a multi-disciplinary Journalist with a broad range of experience as a columnist, editor-in-chief, and coordinator in a variety of media organizations. He has published over 150 articles and feature stories in secular and religious publications including Addis Guday, Mathetes, Hinset, Lomi, Adamna Hewan, and Ahadu radio. Samuel Assefa is well-known for his extensive historical coverage of Ethiopian history, which includes citations of various historical documents focusing on untold Ethiopian history.
In this regard, Samuel is preparing to publish his historical works, which celebrate historical events and their key players, in the form of books on radio, newspapers, and other forms of media. He also serves on the editorial board and hosts a monthly book club. He currently works for Wazema Radio in Addis Abeba as an Ethiopian representative and coordinator for a Civic Society that promotes a free press and democracy. Samuel Assefa received his MA in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from Addis Ababa University.
