Tsedale Gebretsadik is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Africa and an Assistant Professor of Journalism and Communication at Debre Berhan University in Ethiopia. She has previous leadership experience as the social science college dean at DBU.
Her research, training, and expertise focus on crisis communication, social media and political communication, grassroots journalism talent, gender and media studies, rural communication, communication and conflict management, communication and empowerment, indigenous communication, and peace-building. She has led workshops on indigenous communication approaches and conflict management, development journalism reporting, crisis communication, disinformation and conflict, and communication for women’s empowerment at higher education levels.
